Once upon a cloth butt.....
First of all I want to start this post by saying that I 100% believe in handmade items and the premiums attached to those items as they are supporting families and all the overheads associated with small business.
The purpose of this blog is not to discriminate or offend anyone but rather to help any who may not have the funds to buy a stash of WAHM nappies but still wish to use cloth!
There are many reasons why I chose to cloth, I will also be the first to admit that ethical reasons were wayyyy low for me as my no.1 factor was BUDGET.
Budget Environment Ethical Reasons Sustainability
I get that you may feel low or even like you have failed before you have started when you see someone post a big beautiful stash of nappies that RRP $34.95 each!!!!!! Well I am here to tell you that you DON’T NEED TO PAY THAT MUCH. Sure you can, if you’re able to and WISH to but my whole blog post is about doing this cheaply!
Over the last 4 months I have clothed overnight and during the day using nothing more than China Cheapies (CC) and a variety of inserts (and I mean basically anything absorbent!).
CLOTH YOUR BUDGET!!!!!!!!!!!
Inserts I have used:
Tea towels (100% cotton)
T-shirts (100% cotton)
Bamboo cotton prefolds
All of these work fantastic and for my petite fire hydrant boy I got 4 hours out of some of these inserts. So I will out line how I did it and what I used throughout my time using CC!
